"We fundamentally believe that jewellery is an investment that should be enjoyed over time."
Our founder, Sabine Roemer, is a Master Goldsmith who has been an industry expert for 25 years. Today, she runs our London workshop and not only designs and produces our master samples but manages the customisation and rejuvenation of your individual pieces.
At Atelier Romy, we understand, live and breathe jewellery. We pride ourselves on being a true ‘workshop’ hence the nod to the French word in our brand name ‘Atelier’ Romy. We passionately create high quality, considered, fine jewellery that can be restored.
As a brand, we believe in sustainability and try to do our part, learn and get better in the future. At the moment we pack all our jewellery pieces in our recycled eco box. We try to recycle and reuse our materials as much as we can. We also offer amendments, repairs and want to help bringing old pieces back to life to ensure that your investment goes further so your beloved pieces live on and age with you.
We offer a variety of ring sizes, depending upon the style. Most of our rings are available in the most common ring size, the UK Size M.
Should you like a specific ring size, please email us at email@example.com to see if it is possible to size up or down according to your preference. If you are unsure of your ring size, we offer a ring sizer that you can order, free of charge.
Your finger size will naturally change throughout the day, and with your cycle, so please note that rings will feel tighter or looser depending on the time of day or month!
When sizing your finger, please ensure your factor in your knuckle as the ring will need to fit over your knuckle to take its place on your finger.
It is possible to size most rings up by a few sizes. Please note, it is not possible to upsize any of our Eternity Rings as this would cause the pave stones to fall out. To have your ring resized, please email our team at firstname.lastname@example.org with your request.
It is slightly more difficult to size rings down as you have to cut a piece out of the ring and re-solder the ring shank back together. As most sterling silver jewellery is plated, it would then require re-polishing and re-plating which becomes a slightly more expensive exercise. However, it is possible and we work wherever possible, to meet your needs so please do email us with requests for sizing rings up or down.
CUSTOM SIZE RINGS
We can create custom rings in any size, just for you. If your size isn’t appearing on the website, please email us as we can create bespoke pieces generally within 6-8 weeks.
We offer a variety of open rings which are a great option for those uncertain of sizing or looking for a placeholder as the open shape is designed to be malleable and can be adjusted to fit. These rings can also be moved around the knuckle and then slid into place at the thinner end of your finger. You can see our various models here including the Leopard Open Ring, Line Ring and our classic Open Ring.
Our whole mission as a brand was to create pieces that you take on your journey and that age wth you. Should your Atelier Romy piece require a repair or a rebirth, we would be very happy to work with you to bring your piece ‘back to life’. We can replace a lost stone, repolish, replate and even dip your pieces in a new colour plating. Please email us your requests, along with an image of your Atelier Romy piece, so we can discuss prices and turnaround times.

GOLD PLATING VS. VERMEIL
Pronounced ‘ver-may’, Vermeil feels and looks like real gold but without the gold price tag. At Atelier Romy, we use 925 Sterling Silver as our solid base so it feels heavy and has a high end finish. Our gold-plating is 3 microns of fine gold which we colour adjust to deliver the high end gold jewellery look, avoiding the intense 24 karat yellow-gold look.
All of our 925 Sterling Silver pieces are anti-tarnish with a white rhodium plating to ensure they last longer and to give our pieces extra shine. This process also ensures our silver pieces are more durable as Rhodium is from the Platinum family and that they are safe to wear as they are hypoallergenic.
Every Atelier Romy piece is stamped with both our Atelier Romy authenticity logo, as well as with the 925 Sterling Silver stamp. In 1300, King Edward passed a statute that all the ‘Guardians of the Craft’ would apply the Leopard’s head to regulate gold and silver quality controls. Today, we have the London Assay Office mark our pieces over 7 grams by law to identify their quality. Every city has their own symbol and London’s Leopard hallmark stamp inspired our Leopard 1300 collection.
